Michigan State men's basketball coach Tom Izzo reportedly will not take a job as coach of the Cleveland Cavaliers. A press conference for 7 p.m. is being reported by some outlets.
As of one hour ago, however, Eric Lacy of The Detroit News reported on his Twitter feed that the paper had not received any notification of a Tuesday evening press conference.
Brian Windhorst of The Cleveland Plain Dealer tweeted that a players-only meeting has been called for Michigan State at 6:45 p.m., and Tom Withers of the Associated Press tweeted that there is no indication of any goings on at the Breslin Center in East Lansing, Mich.
In a time when college coaches have shown a lack of loyalty, it would be respectful of Izzo to stay with the Spartans.
