Browns sign first draft pick

The Cleveland Browns have signed defensive lineman Clifton Geathers to a multi-year contract, making him the first 2010 draft pick the team has signed.

He was the team's second choice in the sixth round (pick 186).

The 6-foot-7, 300-pound player recorded 72 tackles in 36 games during his career with South Carolina. He also had six sacks for the Gamecocks.

Seven other draft selections, including quarterback Colt McCoy and cornerback Joe Haden, still need to be signed.

His uncle played 13 seasons in the NFL and his father was an NFL draft pick. His brother, Robert, plays for the Cincinnati Bengals.
